Staring at the computer screen now, I can truly experience the sluggish movement of time as my eyes keep straying to the corner of the desktop. This day is never going to end. But, hey! It's raining again today, and for the first time in months, it really feels like fall. The kind where you crave hot coffee and nothing else but to snuggle under blankets and watch movies at home. Speaking of which, Dali and I finally finished Samurai 7, and I have to admit I am thoroughly depressed. The show was so good, but the ending was a little disappointing. For a climax that spectacular, I was expecting a little more closure, but the ending was every bit as infuriating as the Epiloge to the 7th Harry Potter book. I think I'll probably find myself rewatching the series anyways.

We've switched back over to xxxHolic, which I love the new ending song! Watanuki is so cute with the little pipe fox. The soundtrack is pretty good too, which in my opinion can make or break and anime.

Other than that, I spent some time yesterday procrastinating my college homework like a good girl and worked on some new pages in my de-constructive journal. Its quite addictive to keep adding things so that the book seems thicker and thicker with art sketches. Mainly, my thing has been cutting out magazine clippings and sewing them onto other pieces of tressed paper. Anything grungy, ripped, stained, and crumbled immediately gets put in the book to add texture! (FYI: my favorite kind of canvas surface would have to be Reasors paper bags!)

Ever since Twilight became a pop culture sensation and reading became the newest hip thing, I've sort of dropped my reading list and resorted to my art for an escape. I mean don't get me wrong, I think its great that everyone had finally decided to pick up a book for once, but when everyone does it all at once, its not so alluring any more. In other words, working on my portfolio had become my main passtime now. 30 pieces seems like a lot, but I'll see how it goes.
